Fishing at the Trinity River is a twenty minute drive. There are great day hikes in the Alps, fishing at Lewiston Lake, Trinity Lake and the streams and lakes in the Trinity Alps. Weaverville has an excellent super market, golf course, bowling alley, a movie theater with first run movies and a beautiful historic district. There are wineries scattered around the county. Several have excellent wines.
